Time for an Upgrade

By Page Wood April 02, 2012

I’ve been toying with the idea of upgrading to a new DSLR for a while, and I think the Ying Yang Twins shoot solidified that for me. Video was once my main area of focus, and I’m missing it a bit. Watching Griffin Harrington shoot amazing footage of the concert on his Canon DSLR was pretty inspirational. It’s amazing how much better video can look when shot on a DSLR.

I have done a bit of research and I’ve narrowed it down to the D7000….. At 1199.00, it’s tough to beat. 6 Frames a second, 16.2 Megapixels, 1080p HD video with continuous autofocus, and smaller than my D300s. Plus, it can shoot at a much higher ISO than my D300s. It’s one hell of a bargain. It looks like I’ll pick one up this week before I shoot Club Gilty’s event on Thursday night.

Stoked.
